Getting there...
I truly think I will have my license at the end of the month. So once the musical I'm playing bass for is over(last show is Sunday afternoon), I need to work at driving practice. In the meantime, I plan to schedule a road test for the end of this month. Once I have my license, I can let those temp agencies know I am officially mobile, and REALLY get the fuck out of retail.
I just fronted 80 bucks to a friend yesterday to get a half-ounce of what are most likely mids. I hope he's able to get that bag soon. Last time I did that, he took I think two weeks to be able to deliver. This fourth-party weed crap is getting to me. But come on- half an ounce for 80?! That's a pretty sweet deal! To be honest, I'm not really that big a fan of Hydro. Oh, sure, it smells absolutely divine and that initial hit is so tasty. But it's not like it gets you really really fucked up, so much as the mild buzz left over just drags on and on and on. I don't want that shit. Give me the kind of high I can sleep off, and I'm happy.
Then I have an eye appointment on the 15th, and I can get contact lenses again. Oh yeah. I need to call my lead guitarist and make sure he can come to band practice Monday evening. We need that full rehearsal with all four of us.
While I'm at it...how does one end up getting a job as the sound person at a club? Do they just let any idiot run the board? I'd like to know how that all works. I'd love to have that as a second job. I need to call this one studio that also does live sound. If they can use my services, that'll be a great start.
So here's to getting my driver's license(I'll keep my hopes up), which will hopefully make most of this shit happen...
